Cherry Dump Cake

I tried this for the first time and it turned out wonderful!

What you need:

  • 2 - 20oz. Cans of Cherry Pie Filling
  • 2 - 20oz. Cans of Crushed Pineapple
  • 1 - Box of Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1 - Stick of Butter
  • Vanilla ice cream (to serve with)

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.

In an 8 x 10 pan mix cherry pie filling and pineapple. 

Sprinkle yellow cake mix over the top covering all of the fruit.

Cut the butter into small pads and spread over cake mix as best you can.  I ended up using butter from a tub.  One thing I would have done differently with this is once in the oven a couple of minutes (long enough to melt the butter) I would have spread it out evenly over the cake mix more than I did.

Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 1 hour (whenever the cake starts to brown a little).

This is what you get.  It is a hot, bubbly, easy dessert.  Serve with vanilla ice cream!
